Education
The WVU Health Sciences Center Office of Continuing Education (CE)
provides continuing education credit for physicians, nurses, dentists, and
other healthcare providers. Many programs offered by the Office of
CE provide multidisciplinary opportunities for participants to earn
continuing education credits.
Annually, the Office of CE offers a variety of educational opportunities including conferences, workshops,
video activities,
web courses, and personalized
learning opportunities. If you wish to receive notification about
upcoming activities and you do not currently receive our brochures in the
mail, please contact the Office of CE. In
addition, if you would like to receive e-mail notifications regarding
upcoming activities, please e-mail us your name, e-mail address and
specialty.
For your convenience, the Office of CE maintains a computerized
database that tracks CE credit for WVU-sponsored activities. To view

A listing of CE Conferences can be found by selecting the Conference
Schedule link on the left side of this page. Online
Courses, Videos, etc., also may be found by
selecting the appropriate link. The code(s) beside each title
indicate the type(s) of credit offered for that activity. A key for
the codes is located at the bottom of the Conference Schedule.
Continuing Education for Physicians
The WVU School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council
for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical
education for physicians.
Continuing Education for Nurses
The WVU School of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing
education by the State of West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered
Professional Nurses, Legislative Rule §
19CSR11-4 under provider number WV1996-0120RN.
Continuing Education for Dentists
The WVU School of Dentistry is an American Dental Association
Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) recognized
provider. The WVU School of Dentistry is a participating member of
the Association of Continuing Dental Education (ACDE). For
information on upcoming CE for Dentists, please contact the
Office of CE.
